Blueberries

Blueberries are at the top of the list of super foods that benefit your entire body. Eating blueberries on a regular basis may also reduce wrinkles and help you look younger, Tannis notes. Phytochemicals are health protecting compounds present in all plant foods, including fruits and vegetables. Blueberries have one of the highest concentration of beneficial phytochemicals that work to reduce the amount of free radicals in your skin so you look healthier and younger. Add blueberries to a fruit salad, eat a handful for a snack or add them to a smoothie.

Olive Oil

Your body requires fat to function properly and olive oil is a good source of healthy unsaturated fats that protect your health. A diet that includes olive oil has been shown to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun and from environmental toxins, Cherie Calbom reports in her book, "The Wrinkle Cleanse: 4 Simple Steps to Softer, Younger-Looking Skin." Olive oil does not cause your body to become sluggish like saturated fats do, which results in more glowing and youthful appearing skin. Drizzle olive oil on a salad instead of salad dressing or saute vegetables in a teaspoon or so of olive oil to get the benefits it offers.

Legumes

Legumes are considered one of the healthiest foods there is because they supply so many different nutrients. Eating legumes will help you increase your intake of fiber, magnesium and protein, Tannis reports, all of which are essential for the health of your skin. The vitamins and minerals in legumes also protect your skin from damage caused by free radicals so you are able to prevent wrinkles and keep you complexion looking young. Beans and lentils can be added to soups and salads to help you take advantage of these benefits.

Fish

Eating a diet high in fish is linked to lower rates of heart disease, obesity and other serious medical disorders. Adding fish to your diet will also improve the health of your skin so you can maintain your youthfulness and prevent future damage. Fish provides you with polyunsaturated fats, Calbom notes, which help prevent damage to your skin. Tannis adds that the fats in fish improve the health of your cell membranes, which can reduce the appearance of fine lines and keep your skin moisturized and healthy. Add salmon, trout, sardines, haddock and cod to your diet to help you achieve younger looking skin.
